As you will know by know, having looked at the pages on our website, we have achieved SWIM21 accreditation in the areas of Teaching and Skill Development levels. As a result we are confident that we are able to provide quality instruction from beginner right up to an including competition levels.

For young swimmers below the age of 14 who have reached a certain standard we can offer competitive swimming in the East London Mini League and for a wider age group where youngsters compete with some of our older members we also compete in the Essex League. We also encourage our swimmers to compete in Open galas and we are confident we can develop our swimmers to Essex County level.

In an ideal world we would love to be able to offer all our swimmers a complete pathway from learner to national competitor, but we recognise that with our current restrictions on pool time we do not have the facilities or perhaps the ability to provide the complete pathway right to the very top.

As with any sport, to compete at national level it is necessary to train for more sessions a week than we can offer and you really need to swim with swimmers of similar ability or better. Redbridge Swimming Club can provide 11 swimming sessions per week and 2 gym sessions a week and has many swimmers competing at national level. They are SWIM21 accredited in the field of ‘Competitive Development’.

If you have high aspirations and feel you would gain from development elsewhere we would not want to hold you back. Consequently we are proud to recommend Redbridge Swimming Club as a local club that can provide the coaching and the water time needed to maximise your potential and hopefully get you to the nationals. However, even though you may train with Redbridge and wear their red hat for open competitions, you could still wear your orange hat and compete for Dagenham SC at league events!
