FINA, the international governing body for swimming, has updated its regulations on swimwear for competitions and the new regulations will come into effect from January 1st 2010.

The numbers of swimmers to coaches are as follows:
Intermediates- 1:20
Rookies and Squads- 1:30
Mixed Ability Lanes- 1:20

FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation) are the International governing body for
swimming. They basically set the rules for World swimming which each country will follow.
